Buying used can offer great savings.
However, you need to be extra careful when buying a used vehicle to ensure that it’s safe and in good condition.
Here are some things you should always check before you buy a used vehicle:
- Does the vehicle look as though it has been tampered?
- Check the vehicle for obvious signs of wear and tear. Inspecting the vehicle from every angle imaginable.
- Check for a damp or moldy smell in the vehicle’s interior. This could be a sign of water damage.
- Take the vehicle on a test drive to see how well it performs and if there are any obvious noises that do not sound as though the vehicle is in normal working condition.
- Ask the sales individual if they are aware of any serious maintenance concerns or recent work that has been done.
